Pink eye - eye infection ouch!
Pink eye is the most common symptom of an eye infection called conjunctivits. Your eye becomes sore and, if not treated swiftly, can lead to complications.
I had a friend who developed a severe case of conjunctivitis through wearing extended wear contact lenses and, while this was over 15 years ago and extended wear lenses are now much safer, I would still never ever wear contacts designed to worn for up to 30 days.
While I do feel negative about lenses designed to be worn all day and all night, there is one extended wear lens, fully approved by the FDA, and it's very popular. It's called AIR OPTIX Night &Day Aqua
If you have a hectic lifetstyle, theses lenses that are safe to wear for 24 hours a day for a whole month,, may be just right for you, but I still keep thinking about those potential pictures of pink eye you may be taking...
And back to pink eye pictures. Here are a few more, for those who like to see all the gory detail!
That must hurt!
